Job Description:

Nature of WorkThe Chief Financial Officer of Welch Community Hospital manages all aspects of the hospital to include, but not limited to, Accounting, Purchasing, Budgets, Business Office, Accounts Payable, Billing, and Trustee Management. Responsible for managing all aspects of receiving, inventory, and fixed asset management areas of the hospital. Manages all aspects of financial reporting to CMS, Health Care Authority, BMS, Governing Board, and various other agencies. Review and approve all requests for purchases for the hospital. Review all statewide contracts and Purchasing procedures. Supervise the operations of the Accounting, Purchasing, Business Office, and Central Receiving. Oversee and develop the yearly budget. Review statements to assure compliance with budget guidelines during the fiscal year. Welch Community Hospital is a tobacco free campus. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and business policies. Performs other duties as required.Minimum QualificationsTraining: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a degree in the area of assignment.Substitutions: (1) Experience as described below may substitute for the training requirement on a year-for-year basis. (2) For positions in the Accounting, Auditing Area of Assignment, certification or registration as a public accountant in West Virginia may be substituted for the training and two years of the required experience.Experience: Seven years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative or supervisory experience in the area of assignment.Special Requirement: A valid driver's license may be required.Areas of Assignment:Accounting, AuditingBudget and Budget PlanningData ProcessingFacilities ManagementHealth/Health RelatedInsurance and RetirementPurchasing
