How You'll Help Transform Healthcare: In collaboration with the Director of the Center for Simulation, Research, and Patient Safety (CSRPS), is responsible for coordination and evaluation of operations of the CSRPS to meet stakeholder educational needs, oversee the daily operations of educational programs, direct oversight of staff, and maintain simulation best practices as defined by theSociety for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). Communicates, facilitates, prioritizes and problem-solves with staff, internal customers (Carilion Clinic employees and learners) and external users (VTCSOM stakeholders, and others), to deliver high quality and effective simulation-based education, including guiding the development of learning objectives, simulation sessions, evaluations and continuous improvement of simulation practices. Works with CSRPS management, staff and internal and external stakeholders to oversee the development and delivery of simulation-based education. Works to align center education practices and daily operations with defined best-practices, in alignment with accreditation requirements. Develops assessments of simulation education that support Carilion's mission and vision for high quality, patient-centered care, integrated practices and processes, and excellent stewardship and resource management. Demonstrates high standards of ethical and professional conduct and leadership proficiency. What We Require: Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Experience: five years of applied experience in Simulation, Education, or clinical care Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Obtain and maintain CHSE Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated skills in project management, patient simulation and presentation development. Applied knowledge and skills in the areas of communication, leadership, team building, employee development, interpersonal relationship management, versatility and creativity, and system application of processes.
