Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational
Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of
Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based
Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available for the current
school year in a K-12 setting located in Asheboro, NC. This
part-time, contract role offers flexibility in scheduling and
supports students within an established program, working alongside
an existing solo OT to enhance specialized services. Key
Responsibilities: Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for
students to support individualized education programs (IEPs)
Provide supervision and guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy
Assistants (COTAs) Collaborate with school staff to implement
therapy services aligned with student IEP goals Participate in IEP
meetings and contribute professional input regarding student
progress and needs Maintain documentation consistent with
educational and licensing requirements Qualifications and
Experience: Active state license as a licensed Occupational
Therapist required Previous school-based occupational therapy
experience is mandatory, demonstrating proficiency in conducting
student evaluations and supervising COTAs Strong understanding of
K-12 special education services and related documentation processes
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators,
parents, and support staff Reliable transportation to various
school sites as assigned within the district Location: Asheboro, NC
area, working at school sites to be determined within the district
