Job Description:
Our client in Waynesboro, VA is in immediate need of a
Mechanical Engineer. The primary responsibility of this position is
to design new products, improve existing products, troubleshoot
problems, and provide guidance and product instructions to
engineering, manufacturing, and service personnel.Role and
Responsibilities:Prepare SolidWorks CAD layouts and design models
for automated, semi-custom machineryDevelop new products and
process concepts based on original ideasCreate detail part drawings
from SolidWorks modelsWork closely with manufacturing to eliminate
manufacturing and assembly problems and to achieve manufacturing
and assembly efficiencies and cost savingsTroubleshoot mechanical
design and process problems in Client's manufacturing facility and
in Client's customer facilitiesCreate structured bills of material
identifying all parts for purchasing, manufacturing, and
manufacturing assemblyAnalyze and define remedies for field
problems related to Client's productsCommunicate directly with
Client's customers and vendors to answer questions, provide
assistance, and solve problemsProvide training and assistance for
new employees and less experienced engineersProvide assistance to
the engineering staff as directed by the VP of
EngineeringQualifications and Education Requirements:BSME with 2
years design experience ORAssociates Degree in mechanical
technology and 5 years design experienceConsiderable experience
designing machinery is SolidworksProficient SolidWorks, CSWP or
equivalent, good AutoCAD experienceTriMech Services is an
