In this role, you will operate CNC laser cutting equipment, set up jobs, and ensure parts meet print and quality specifications. You’ll work closely with a supportive production team in a fast-paced fabrication environment that values safety, reliability, and craftsmanship. This is a great opportunity for someone with laser operating experience or strong mechanical aptitude who is looking for long-term stability and room to grow. Responsibilities Operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines to process sheet metal and plate materials Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and technical drawings to set up jobs and programs Load/unload and stage materials safely using material-handling equipment (pallet jacks/forklifts) Inspect finished parts using measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Perform basic machine maintenance and assist with troubleshooting while following safety and quality standards Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience operating a CNC laser preferred Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Basic understanding of CNC controls and production workflow Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed Reliable transportation and strong attendance record Forklift experience or certification a plus Your New Organization: P&S Machining and Fabrication is a trusted local manufacturer specializing in precision machining, metal fabrication, and custom industrial solutions.
