We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director for our established ACGME accredited program in Roanoke, Virginia. Qualified Candidates:

• Board certified in emergency medicine
• 3+ years of teaching and/or administrative experience
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
• Ongoing involvement in scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications
• Strong administrative and team building skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Our emergency medicine residency program started in 2019
  • Full complement of 24 residents
  • Program director responsibilities include:
    • Clinical teaching and supervision of residents
    • Core program clinical teaching
    • General administration
    • GME committees/meetings
    • GME lecturing/teaching conferences
    • GME recruiting/interviewing
    • GME research/scholarly activity
    • Resident evaluation/mentoring
    • Program evaluation
    • Program Director will oversee the success and maintenance of certification of the program in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and the Policies and Procedures of the sponsoring institution
    • The program director will report directly to the Regional Medical Director and HCA hospital leadership
    • The program director should build upon the exceptional established educational program About LewisGale Medical Center:
