We are home to a thriving art and entertainment scene, numerous local restaurants and shops, diverse educational institutions, and vast recreational opportunities.Why Choose Us: - Health (Medical, Dental, Vision) and 401K Benefits for full-time employees - Competitive Paid Time Off / Extended Illness Bank package for full-time employees - Employee Assistance Program - mental, physical, and financial wellness assistance - Tuition Reimbursement/Assistance for qualified applicants - Professional development, Growth Opportunities, and Mentor-based training - And much more--- - - -Position Summary: - - - -Sovah Danville is seeking a PRN Phlebotomy Tech to collect and process human samples, such as blood and urine specimens, for testing in the laboratory, according to specimen collection and processing protocols. - - - - - - - - - Labels, processes, and delivers specimens for testing. - - - - - - - - - Collects and processes human samples according to specimen collection and processing protocols. - - - - - - - - - Maintains equipment and appropriate inventory of medical supplies. - - - - - - - - - Stocks/organizes supplies and phlebotomy baskets and collection stations for specimen procurement. - - - - - - - - - .Verifies patient and specimen identification with two identifiers before performing any procedure. - - - - - - - - - Obtains urine specimens, and labels, and prepares for lab analysis. - - - - - - - - - Collects drug screens according to the chain of custody guidelines and procedures set in the Drug Screen Collection Manuals. - - - - - - - - - Centrifuges and stores blood samples for subsequent testing. - - - - - - - - - Allocates the appropriate amount of specimen to the appropriate tubes for the different tests and panels.Minimum Education: - - - - - - - - - High school diploma or equivalent required.Required Skills: - - - - - - - - - Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. - - - - - - - - - Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - - - - - - - - - Ability to perform routine venipuncture and skin puncture.
