Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Newborn Nursery team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to create personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to newborns and their families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for optimal health outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and family dynamics.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and safety.Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Licensed, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 12 months of start date.
