  • ICU (6MICU)
  • ASAP start preferred, 13 weeks
  • 3x12 hour nights, 7P-7A
  • Epic experience required
  • L1 experience required.
  • L2 experience considered as long as it comes from a large facility.
  • 6 Mountain Intensive Care Unit (6MICU) is a 12-bed intensive care unit.
  • Practice in a setting where patients require complex ongoing assessment, multiple therapies, and interventions.
  • Surgical intensive care unit that serves vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, or stroke patients.
  • Certified stroke center designation.
  • Part of Carilion's Cardiovascular Institute (CVI).
  • Operates 24/7, seven days a week; serving patients age 18 and older.
  • Standard nurse to patient ratio is 2:1.
  • Complex therapies/treatments include cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), mechanical ventilation support, Pacemaker Management, EVD drains (intracranial pressure monitoring), NIH Stroke Scale Certification, ISTAT lab values.

      • The Unit operates 24/7, seven days a week.

          • TIME SENSITIVE! Drivers License/State ID required within 48 hours of signing.

          • Residency Declaration Form if candidate is working on a compact license
          • Physical Exam within 1 year of start stating candidate is free from communicable diseases.
          • VA State Police Search - completed onsite on the first day of orientation for specific candidates.
