Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year MedSurg experience. License: Current state license required. Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of travel experience in Med/Surg. Experience in IV Start and Telemetry. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO could lead to a cancellation. Unit will accept contracts for 13 weeks. Travelers are required to work every other weekend. Floating to other units may be required. Patient population primarily consists of stroke patients. Unit also cares for neurosurgery patients and other neuro diagnoses. Unit has a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Unit trains nurses for the Epilepsy Monitoring aspect. Daily census averages around 42 patients. Scrubs must be navy blue. EKG testing must be passed prior to start for this specialty. Must have Med/Surg experience. Vacancies may involve various Neuro-related patient care. No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Candidate must be comfortable with floating between units based on skillsets.
