Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Experience with post-operative patients Competence in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical care. The unit consists of 36 beds and employs around 55 staff members. Staff on the night shift include 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs. Patient ratios are 1:6. Essential equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a strong team player mentality and a positive attitude. They should be a strong patient advocate and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Dress code includes navy blue and white scrubs. Hoodies, pullovers, and T-shirts are not permitted. The unit has received top patient experience scores as measured through HCAHPS.
