Job Description:
Job Title: RN - PCU/MS Float Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: PCU/MS Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift:
12 hours Experience: Must have experience in PCU and MS nursing.
License: Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: Must be comfortable
working all PCU and MS units. EPIC charting experience required.
Experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product
administration. Skilled in central line care, trach management, and
non-invasive airway support. Proficient in cardiac monitoring,
dysrhythmia interpretation and management. Capable of managing PCA
and heparin protocols, administering IV insulin. Experience in
telemetry and stepdown-level care. Description: The position is for
an RN with a focus on PCU and MS. The role requires floating to
various units as the staffing needs are re-evaluated every four
hours. The RN may float 2-3 times per shift. Weekend shifts may be
required. The RN must work one holiday within the 13-week contract.
First-time travelers are welcomed. Candidates must hold a valid
single-state license from a non-compact state if pending. Requests
for time off must be included upfront. The facility allows for one
call-off shift every two weeks.
