Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide nursing care in a 33-bed medical surgical/oncology unit • Patient ratios of 5-6:1 • Work with Baxter IV pumps and Meditech (EBCD version) EMR system • Medical surgical experience in acute care setting required • Oncology and chemotherapy experience preferred • BLS certification required • Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs • Participate in bedside shift reporting • Conduct hourly rounding with tech assistance • Attend shift huddles • Day shift includes 5 RNs, 1 clinical coordinator/charge (no patient assignment), 2-3 techs, 1 unit secretary • Night shift includes 5 RNs (including charge nurse with patient assignment), 2-3 techs • Positive and energetic personality with strong teamwork values essential Facility: This medical center operates a 33-bed medical surgical/oncology unit that has achieved significant recognition for patient care excellence.
