ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with call rotation • Weekend rotation with staff required • On-call requirement with staff rotation • Must work one holiday per 13-week contract • Occasional weekends and holidays required • 1:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends • 8 hours of orientation provided • Must have circulating and scrubbing experience • Must be able to scrub total joints, craniotomies/neuro, and orthopedic trauma • Orthopedic and neurosurgery experience required • 2 years of experience required • BLS certification required • Virginia State or Compact RN license required • Care for patients of all ages including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Work with special equipment including ROSA, Si and Xi daVinci robots, stealth, O-Arm, and HIPEC • Approximately 80 visits per day in 25 operating room suites • First-time travelers accepted • Local candidates not accepted (must reside more than 100 miles from facility) Facility: This 703-bed acute care teaching hospital serves as a flagship medical facility and is the region's only Level I Trauma Center for both adults and pediatrics. The facility is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and features advanced specialty care with a dedicated children's hospital. It operates as a Level I trauma OR for southwest Virginia with 25 OR suites providing 24/7 on-site nursing coverage. Services include general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, robotic surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and sports medicine. The hospital is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and is affiliated with a medical school.
