position is for a registered nurse in a medical/surgical unit. Day
shifts are scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other
weekend and two weekday shifts are expected based on staffing
needs. Holiday rotation is required, and the nurse must work
assigned holidays according to the rotation. Patient ratios on the
unit are 1:6. First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
Local candidates are not being considered. The role requires the
capability to work effectively as part of a team. Skills in
managing and caring for various medical conditions are necessary.
The unit accommodates adults and geriatric patients with diverse
diagnoses. Daily census is approximately 30 patients in a 32-bed
unit. Interdisciplinary support is available, comprising multiple
services to assist in patient care. The role may involve the use of
innovative technologies and equipment in nursing practice.
Adherence to all compliance requirements is mandatory. A fit test
is required as per health policy. Travelers must comply with all
