Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,442 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Neuroscience Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: March 9, 2026 Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required Highlights: Specialized neuroscience unit caring primarily for stroke patients, along with epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, subdural hematomas, and other neurological diagnoses Patient ratio of 1:6 with a daily census of approximately 50 patients Epic charting system with Pyxis and SBAR protocols 13-week contract with 36-hour orientation period Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and respiratory services Opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment with diverse neurological case presentations Requirements: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical-Surgical experience required At least 2 successful travel contracts completed; first-time travelers will not be accepted Current NC or Compact State RN license required at start BLS, NIH, and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred Demonstrated proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with neuro stepdown or progressive care unit preferred Epic charting system experience required Must be comfortable floating to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry areas as needed Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to develop advanced skills in neuroscience nursing while caring for a diverse patient population including stroke, seizure disorders, brain tumors, and intracranial bleeds.
