The GI Division has a fellowship program enrolling 4 fellows per year. There are exciting opportunities for clinical and translational research collaborating with faculty at the Fralin Biomedical Institute at VTC and the main campus of Virginia Tech University in nearby Blacksburg. As a member of the faculty at Carilion Clinic, you will have an appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine located on our campus. Roanoke is in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains at the southern tip of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley in Southwest Virginia. A beautiful 22,000-acre lake is just a short drive from town, offering superb bass fishing, boating, and swimming. For those loving the outdoors, Roanoke offers a mild four-season climate.
