$500 Sign On Bonus! We are excited to have an experienced and energetic Cook join our Dining Services team. This position will report to the Executive Chef and will be responsible for preparing meals and assisting as needed in the kitchens. Full time and Part time positions are available on our Salem campus. Required Experience: Must be Servsafe certified or willing to be certified.Must have 1-3 years of cooking experienceMust exhibit safety awarenessMust keep work area and equipment clean and sanitaryMust comply with state and federal regulationsStrategic planning and critical thinking skillsExcellent customer service skills with residents, family and team membersExemplify Richfield RISES as a leader on the campus and in the communityDesire to learn and grow with a growing, values-based organization Key Responsibilities: Handle and prepare food in sanitary, safe and effective manner, in accordance with state regulations. Demonstrate knowledge of state regulations and ability to interact professional with supervisor, managers, and vendors. Prepare food which is palatable and appetizing in appearance. Prepare food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack (apply based upon assigned shift). Prepare food and/or baked goods for special functions. Appropriately label and store all food items.Ensure compliance and successfully prepare the Roanoke Health Center for positive outcomes with federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policy and procedures.Follow written menus and recipes. Utilize appropriate food items and equipment to prepare meals. Be responsible for avoiding food waste. Understand and be able to prepare therapeutic diets. Ability to expand or adjust recipes to meet production requirements.
