You will have contact with both external and internal customers and are expected to work in a professional manner. The duties performed by this position may have an organization wide effect and allow access to confidential information related to both patients and staff. Incumbents of this position will be required to make timely, effective decisions with moderate supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities may include but not limited:

• Assist with preparing internal communications, instruction manuals, journal articles, and other supporting documents to communicate updates, news, complex and technical information more easily.
• Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation and communications.
• Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions.
• Organize and write supporting documents for products, processes, etc.
• Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users' understanding.
• Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos.
• Assist with knowledge transfer to enable customers and users to optimize their use of the service to support operational activities.
• Assist with standardizing content across platforms and media.
• Create informational notifications, operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions, and "frequently asked questions" artifacts to help technical support staff, consumers, and other users within the department.
• Work with computer hardware engineers, scientists, computer support specialists, and software developers to manage the flow of information among project workgroups during development and testing.
  
  Minimum Qualifications
  
  Education: High school degree required. Associates/Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, communication, technical writing, business or equivalent exp required.
  
  Experience: Minimum of five years of related exp is required.
  
  Knowledge of office automation software (word processing, spreadsheets, email and presentation software) is required. Experience creating software/API documentation, system diagrams, database documentation, data mapping and process flow diagrams, installation/configuration/integration guides, developer guides, job aids, communications and/or other highly-technical content is required. Experience using different software platforms for creating and editing technical communication (Adobe Creative Cloud; Microsoft LCDS), knowledge with the Software Development Lifecycle and software development, and experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred
  
  Licensure/Certifications/Registration: ITIL V3 Foundation Certification and Certified Professional Technical Communicator certification (or equivalent) required within 12 months of hire.
  
  Other Minimum Qualifications:
  
  Strong writing skills; Proficiency proofreading and editing documents. Effective oral and written communication, presentation and problem-solving skills required.
  
  Must be able to think about a procedure or product in the way that a person without technical experience would think about it. Must be able to understand and then explain highly technical information. Must be able to create detailed instructions for others to follow, be detailed and precise at every step so that the instructions can be useful.
  
  Demonstrate beginner knowledge of the ADKAR (or equivalent) organizational change model and demonstrates beginner ability to read and understand programming code (ex: JavaScript, SQL, PHP, Python, etc.
