How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

Designs, deploys and supports data acquisition and data integration solutions from source systems to the data warehouse and data marts for business intelligence solutions such as dashboards, scorecards, reports and self-service analytics. Sources data from operational systems with integration and subsequent and secondary transformation. Supports end-user web-based presentation layers and the underlying technology layers including data models, dimensional databases, cubes and security infrastructure. Responsible for performing advanced installations, upgrades, testing, maintenance, and customization of applications and web services on a variety of hardware platforms. Develops and maintains new programs and applications.

• Independently designs, develops, and maintains technology-related programs and applications. Uses command line language at platform/operating system level. Develops, codes, and maintains shell scripts at platform/server level.
• Gathers and processes raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using batch and real-time data processing frameworks.
• Develops and maintains data processing solutions, database schema and stored procedures in collaboration with the Data Modeler and BI Developer while adhering to technical solution standards and demonstrating flexibility when required.
• Tests data processing solutions collaborating with team members through unit testing and integration testing.
• Independently develops reference materials (application flow charts, code references, installation documentation, etc.) for supported applications, scripts, etc. to be used for both online and in-person training of other technical staff.
• Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams to achieve predetermined objectives. Maximizes the development of required changes to tables, configuration files, or programs to meet client business needs and/or application functionality.
• Manages assigned projects and meets deadlines with moderate supervision from supervisor and/or manager.
• Assists Business Analysts with the development of training programs and materials to train end-users and mentor and develop team members.
• Serves as both a professional and technical mentor to other Programmers.
• Proactively identifies areas of improvement (process or technical) and develops plans for associated changes required.
• Independently leads process improvement initiatives approved by Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Interfaces with clients, vendors, and other teams on multi-faceted projects involving application and/or web platform technologies.
• Interfaces with clients, vendors, and multiple teams while providing resolution to problem incidents as escalated from the Technology Service Center.
  
  What We Require:
  
  Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, health care systems or equivalent work experience.
  
  Experience: Minimum six years' experience in computer electronics, working with enterprise data sources and ETL tools, and/or application administration/development. Dimensional databases, cubes and columnar data structures experience in the financial or healthcare industry preferred. Experience working in an agile development environment preferred.
  
  Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Valid Virginia drivers' license and dependable transportation. CompTIA ITF+, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Additionally, two of the following are required: Epic Caboodle ETL Certified Administrator, IBM Certified Solutions Developer - Datastage (v11.3 or after), IBM Certified Specialist: PureData System for Analytics, DAMA CDMP Associate, IBM Certified Data Engineer - BigData, IBM Certified Data Architect - BigData, Epic Chronicles Programmer, Epic Interconnect Programmer, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+.
  
  Other Minimum Qualifications: Good organizational skills, analytical, dependable, detail oriented, interpersonal skills, and understanding of the English language (both written and oral). Must have thorough understanding of the 7-layer OSI model. Java, C/C++/C#, Korn/Bash Shell Scripting, SQL optimization experience preferred. Agile development experience preferred. Data profiling and data quality analysis experience preferred. Experience working with a coordinated data management environment (CDME), as well as utilizing Joint Application Development (JAD) approached preferred. Experience with IBM InfoSphere and IBM data models a plus. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be customer service oriented.
