extendable contract (we offer benefits) Description: Our client is
currently getting up to speed on the largest initiative in their
environment right now. The Point of Sale Register Refresh is a
36,000 register swap out over a span of the next 3 years throughout
all of their retail locations. This team is responsible for making
sure the Win10 devices at the windows stores are fully working and
troubleshooting issues that the retail stores are having with these
machines. Their goal is to eventually make the PC builds as
touchless as possible. This team will also be fielding calls from
the stores to help troubleshoot any problems that are arising
on-site. Skills: troubleshooting, remedy, support, phone support
Top Skills Details: 1. Commitment- In the past, this team has had
trouble with people who didn't live up to expectations regarding
commitment level, taking on responsibility and sense of urgency.
This person needs to show that they will be heavily committed to
take on the values of the team. 2. Attention to Detail- This person
will be tasked with following certain processes put in place to
make sure they are troubleshooting and working as efficiently as
possible. Attention to detail around these processes and making
sure they are missing the same thing over and over is going to be
important as this team doesn't have the bandwidth to hand hold. 3.
Strong Communication in the ability to work from home- another
issue this team has run into is people's ability to be open,
available, reliable and communicative while working from home. This
person would ideally have previous experience with remote work and
show the ability to be online and ready to respond at all times.
Other important factors are the technical piece. These are generic
but strong troubleshooting experience and understanding physical
connections to a Win10 PC is needed. This position is not needing
somebody who is an expert level technical resource but somebody who
can work their way around a machine and figure things out. Strong
technical minds are needed but they're open to somebody with 1 year
of experience. Strong phone and email communication. This team will
be responsible for providing support for 5,000 stores nationwide.
It is important that this person has strong communication skills
and can clearly articulate how to troubleshoot over the phone. 2.
IT experience, experience in cabling would be a plus. They will be
working with techs on cabling, and helping the in store employees
troubleshoot point of sale machines, credit card scanners and RF
scanners 3. Eagerness- The manager isn't looking for someone who
has a ton of experience, but is eager to learn and grow. A
