Modine Manufacturing is seeking Sheet Metal Fabrication (Press Set Up) Operators who will use a variety of mechanical tools to measure devices, select forming dies, and perform simple, set ups on presses, brakes, trimming machine, and automatic stock feeders.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work from pattern, print or layout plate

Check manufactured pieces against blueprint

Completed production runs

Spot-check pieces in process

Lubricate part and die as required

Stack parts in box or on skid

Installs guards

Adjust pullbacks and light curtains

Use lockout/tagout procedure

Handle dies with powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks or die lift truck

Report improper equipment operation and defective materials to Supervisor

Record time and production

May be assigned task of training new/transferred employees as required

Other essential functions as may be assigned


Qualifications

Requires reading, writing, adding, subtracting, ability to operate powered industrial trucks and manual hand trucks, and following of instructions

Must be able to successfully master all elements of training control document for this job
