Job Description We are looking for an experienced Security Guard who will provide "Security with a smile" while implementing policies and procedures to protect the assets of John C. Nordt, including personnel and inventory. This team player works effectively independently or as a part of a small group and will maintain confidentiality at all times.Hours are Monday - Friday 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.Responsibilities include:

• Control personnel movement in and out of the secured areas
• Perform required plant opening and/or closing procedures
• Act as liaison with police, fire and rescue personnel
• Verify any products entering or leaving the secured area
• Answer phone and coordinate visitor access to the facility
• Assist Shipping Department by processing packages being shipped out by USPS, UPS, and FedExSuccessful candidates should have the following:
  • 3 years of Security experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient operating security equipment including CCTV, X-Ray machines, and hand scanners
  • Ability to deal with problems in a calm and professional manner
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver's License
  • Physically able to sit, stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds on an infrequent basisSecurity Officers are required to obtain and maintain a current DCJS unarmed security certificate.What we offer:
