THE POSITION
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Protos is looking for a skilled professional with a strong
background in security industry licensing and insurance
requirements and processes. The Licensing and Compliance Specialist
will report directly to the Vice President of Compliance or such
other individual as designated by the Company's Chief Financial
Officer and will be responsible for various functions in the
Compliance Department. Our work environment is fast paced, positive
and stresses results oriented internal growth. Specific industry
experience is not required, however, experience in the Security or
Staffing industry is a big plus.
The Licensing and Compliance Specialist must possess the following
qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities and personal
characteristics:
Monitor business processes and vendors to ensure that all security
service providers are properly licensed and insured, validating
documents for accuracy/validity.
Provide training, support, and monitoring of document processing
with the Compliance team and support across other functions (i.e.,
Vendor Management) as required.
Manage documents across repositories, including hard and digital
copies as necessary.
Provide support for processing licensing documentation in
accordance with Protos, industry, and regulatory standards and
requirements.
Submit forms and documentation needed to apply for necessary
licenses and ensures that any follow-up is completed to acquire the
necessary licenses.
Maintain a database of all the Company's licenses and ensures
timely submission of materials to state agencies to renew licenses
when necessary.
Monitor compliance-related regulatory changes and developments.
Perform compliance audits and compile reports.
Other Compliance-related tasks as directed by Management.
Education, Skills and Experience
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable compliance
position.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance
requirements.
Methodical and systematic approach to work and the ability to apply
logic to processes.
Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) knowledge and
ability to use Excel to provide reporting in various forms.
Proficiency in data validation/sorting, formulas.
Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Critical thinking skills.
Strong communication, collaborative, and leadership skills;
Security industry experience desired.
Process driven, detailed oriented and highly organized.
Travel
Travel, while not often, may be required. Travel is expected to be
less than 10%. A valid Driver's License is required.

Function Compliance
Compensation
Compensation includes base salary and a discretionary, performance
based year-end bonus. The Company offers a competitive benefits
package including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO,
etc.
Relocation
No relocation packages or reimbursements are available for this
position.
