Job Description

Position Summary

Adeno Manufacturing Technician is responsible for knowing how to perform operations performed at the Adeno facility including receiving of pre-API material, warehouse functions, manufacturing operations including lyophilization, pharmacy, compression, coating, imprinting, packaging of final product, and shipping to the consumer. An Adeno Manufacturing Technician may be required to be cross trained in areas and remain proficient in these areas. The position will be 2nd or 3rd shift. During the training period the candidate must have the flexibility to work either first, second or third shift. Once training is complete the candidate will be assigned to s shift with the flexibility to work on first shift for one to two weeks every five to six weeks.

The hours for this position will be an "off shift" candidates will need to be flexible in availability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Identifies and follows established procedures in preparing pharmaceutical products for complete production. This includes receiving of pre-API material, warehouse functions, manufacturing including lyophilization, pharmacy, compression, coating, imprinting, packaging final product, and shipping to the consumer.
* Operate Equipment in all aspects of Live Virus Solid Dosage Production.
* Clean, disassemble, and reassemble equipment proficiently. Demonstrates basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting skills of manufacturing equipment.
* Follows specified production steps described in the production record.
* Makes required entries and notations in the production record.
* Demonstrate ability to understand validation testing protocols, sampling procedures and labeling of same.
* Performs inspections and daily weight checks of equipment as required.
* Maintains a clean and safe work environment and follows proper material handling and uniform requirements.
* Follows GMP's, SOP's to produce high quality products.
* Train on and utilize the ERP system.
* Performs quality checks as specified by the production records.
* Interacts with cross-functional teams to expedite the production process.
* Demonstrates and understanding of the Adeno plant production process flow.
* Ability to train on and operate a forklift.
* Ability to seek out and implement production process improvements to improve quality, reduce cost or improve safety.
* Ability to work overtime (weekdays, weekends) as needed to cover 24X7 lyophilization production. Also there will be periods of time when the candidate will be required to work a different shift than his/her assigned shift.


Position Requirements

Education Required: High School Diploma or GED.

Individuals with equivalent education, training, and experience will be considered.

Experience Required: 3 - 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry required

Experience Preferred: 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical. Experience in Compression, Coating, Pharmacy, Compounding, Imprinting and Bottle Packaging. Experience in SAP ERP system.

Physical Requirements: Lift/move up to 25 lbs. Regularly stand, walk, sit, feel objects, tools, controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear and have good vision. Not allergic to chemicals found in the facility.

Performance: No Verbal or written corrective action per Teva's Coaching, Counseling and Corrective Action Policy within past 6 months. No Final written warning corrective action as per Teva's Coaching, Counseling and Corrective Action Policy within past 12 months.

Performance Evaluation: Meets or above

Attendance: Adherence to Teva's Attendance and Punctuality Policy.
