Onsite, Remote or Hybrid: -Onsite Sign on Bonus: -$2,000 sign-on bonus available per applicable guidelines (external applicants only) Job Summary Performs a variety of duties as assigned, including but not limited to, food preparation and storage, and genral sanitation of the department. accurate cash and charge transaction in compliance with department procedures, assembling and delivering trays, snacks, tube feedings, and nourishment, customer relations and service delivery. May assist patients with menu selection. -

• Completes all general food service tasks as assigned which may include storeroom, tray assembly and/or delivery and related cleaning. -
• Completes cafeteria tasks as assigned which may include cash handling and food prep. -
• Administers and documents menus and requests for patient food items utilizing automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. -
• Completes required documentation that includes temperature logs according to documentation requirement. -
• Completes cashier duties in cafeterias including ringing up customer sales on cash register, balancing cash drawer, making deposits. -
• Completes all cleaning and sanitations tasks as assigned.
• Provides catering services for catering events and meetings. - -
• May meet with patients to obtain menu and snack selection per physician diet order. -
• Participates in activities/meetings, which may include orientation of co-workers, patient/.customer satisfaction, cost reduction initiatives and inspection readiness. Minimum Qualifications Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience: One (1) year Food Service experience preferred. Licensure, certification, and/or registration: In areas in which employee is deemed in charge of departmental operations, SERV-Safe Certification or equivalent certification from the Virginia Health Department is required; or ability to obtain certification within year one in this position. Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Keyboarding or computer skills for automated computer systems or the ability to learn this skill, including electronic medical records preferred. Position is deemed 'emergency personnel' during emergency weather conditions. Must provide own transportation and travel to other Carilion work sites.
