Lowe's Foods is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Bakery Manager to join our vibrant supermarket team in Burlington, NC. This role is pivotal in upholding our commitment to excellence in bakery goods and is designed for someone passionate about baking, innovative store management, and leading a team in a dynamic retail environment. As an Assistant Bakery Manager, you will work closely with the Bakery Manager to ensure the production of high-quality bakery items that resonate with our local flavors and community preferences. Assist the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the bakery department including production, merchandising, and quality control Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements Coordinate with the bakery team to execute in-store bakery events and promotions Train and mentor bakery staff, fostering a positive and effective work environment Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels Oversee customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and to build community relationships Analyze sales data and make adjustments to improve department performance Support the Bakery Manager in scheduling and labor management Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in bakery arts and familiarity with bakery equipment Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Proficiency in using inventory management software ServSafe Food Handler certification is required Additional certifications in baking or pastry arts are advantageous
